Since I am writing about performance, SEO and marketing on this blog, I decided to compare both plugins mentioned above.
Both Clearfy and perfmatters are providing such options as:
- disabling emojis,
- disabling embeds,
- disabling RSS feeds,
- removing shortlink,
- removing RSD link,
- disabling XML-RPC.
Additionally, perfmatters has a script manager which helps you block some JS/CSS scripts on particular pages.
Pricing of Clearfy and perfmatters
Perfmatters is just a paid plugin.
Clearfy Business costs $19-$129 yearly, perfmatters costs $24.95-$124.95 yearly.
My Configuration of Both Plugins
In this section, you can see how I have configured both tested plugins.
In case of perfmatters, I decided to block every possible CSS and JS script on my homepage in order to check how it helps boost my website’s loading speed.

FB plugin in filenames means Mongoose Page Plugin which I am using on this blog.
There are not so many words in this article compared to my other posts, but what can I write here about?I'm sure you've heard that a picture is worth a thousand words. 😉 In such case, my 43 pictures from this article should be worth 43,000 words! 😀 Click To Tweet
After carrying out these tests, I do not find it necessary to use a paid plugin when I can get quite similar results with a free one.
And that’s all in this topic.
